Resurrection Power

This year’s Passover Sunday falls on March 31st. We will focus on the impact of the resurrected Christ in our lives. It is not just a celebration, but a life-changing and transformative experience.

Week 1: Following Jesus

  • In Matthew 4:19 Jesus said, "Follow Me..."

  • When Jesus asked them to follow Him, He did not mean to follow Him to Cana, or to Capernaum. He is asking them to follow Him, to take up their cross and experience the journey of death, burial, resurrection, and ascension.

  • There is no resurrection without death, so death to the flesh is necessary for Jesus' followers to experience the supernatural life in this natural world.

PRAYER POINTS:

  • Pray and ask Jesus to come into our hearts.

  • Pray for us to take up the Cross and turn away from our own selfish interests.

  • Thank Him for coming and dwelling among us in order to die for us and live in us through His Spirit.

  • Help us to see with the eyes of faith, that He is bigger than our problems (2 Corinthians 5:7 “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”)

  • Teach us to follow Him without fear, knowing that He is always with us, leading the way.

Week 2: Resurrection Power

  • John 20:9 says the disciples did not understand the statement of the scripture that Jesus must rise again from the dead.

  • Also look at Psalms 16:10 and Acts 13:35

  • The stone was not rolled away so Jesus could get out, the stone was rolled away so that you could look in.

  • The tomb has become the womb of a new creation.

PRAYER POINTS:

  • Thanking God for loving us and sending Jesus to save us from our sins.

  • Thanking Jesus for He conquered death at the cross, erasing our sins and calling us His own. We are no longer slaves to sin. We are children of God.

  • Thanking Him for the gift of forgiveness, for binding up our brokenness.

  • Pray to release the resurrection power that is within us. With the Holy Spirit and His power, no attack against us will prosper.

  • Thanking Him that we are not a victim anymore, but now we are more than conquerors in Christ.

Week 3: Jesus Is

  • He is the First. He is the Last. He is the Alpha, the Omega, He is the Beginning. He is the End. He is the Resurrection and the Life, apart from Him there is no life.

  • Preach and demonstrate the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit.

  • "Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper." (2 Chronicles 20:20)

PRAYER POINTS:

  • We pray that we can rest in His blessed assurance because we trust in Him alone for our salvation.

  • Pray that when we are facing times of unrest and anxiety, to lean and rely on Him because He knows all and what is best for us.

  • Pray for peace, comfort, and encouragement, as we put our trust in Him, that He is the Author and Finisher of our faith.

  • Pray that we demonstrate the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit in our daily lives.

Week 4: Be an Overcomer

  • Jesus displayed the high cost of love, displayed the work on the cross of Calvary, and the power of the resurrection, so that we have a promise of life and life more abundantly.

  • He is our Savior, our Healer, our Liberator, our Deliverer, our Freedom-giver.

  • Trials are God-given opportunities to bring death to the flesh to let us enter into that resurrection life in Jesus. (John 16:33)

PRAYER POINTS:

  • Thanking Him that now we belong to Jesus Christ, surrounding us with His love and presence.

  • Pray to fill us with His Spirit and His mighty power - the power of the resurrection

  • Pray that He is our refuge and our strength in every situation and struggle, He is with us and we will not be afraid.

  • Pray that we are filled with faith and Your Word, for we belong to the Lord Jesus, and He has overcome the world.

  • Pray for us to stand firm in our faith, resist the enemy, and to submit to Him so that we may live victoriously as a conqueror and an overcomer of Jesus Christ.

Let’s demonstrate and move in the resurrected power of Jesus!
