Flourishing

It is always God’s desire to see you flourishing so that you can glorify your Father in heaven. God's purpose is that you will prosper. God's purpose is that you will be healthy. God's purposes is that you will flourish.

Week 1: Planted and Flourishing

  • Everyone wants to flourish, but not everyone wants to be planted.

  • Psalm 1:3 NKJV “He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.”

  • Since the beginning God gave a mandate to Adam to be fruitful and multiply; that is flourishing.

  • Psalms 92:13-15 NKJV “Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing, to declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.”

  • The goal to focus on this week is to be planted in the local church. Be committed, be involved, participate, be proactive, and reach out to souls for harvest.

PRAYER POINTS:

  • Are you willing to be planted so that you can flourish?

    • If your answer is yes, then ask the Lord for revelation on what it means to be fully planted in the local church.

    • If your answer is no or maybe, then ask the Lord to search your heart and reveal the cause of your hesitation to be fully planted and committed in CBC.

  • To flourish, it is not enough just to be planted. Pray for Holy Spirit to speak to you on what areas in your life whether it is your character, habit, or attitude, that you need to bring into the obedience of Christ. Have you let your pastors or leaders speak into your life so that you can flourish?

  • Ask Holy Spirit for wisdom, revelation, and strategy on what actions you can do as a planted and committed member of CBC to support the vision and missions of CBC.

  • Pray that every CBC member can flourish together, work together in unity, and have the synergy to accomplish the mandate that God has put upon CBC.

  • Pray for the Training Center project so that it will allow more people to be fully planted in CBC and flourish together.

Week 2: Anointed to Flourish

  • God gives us a pattern no matter where you are, and what situation you are facing, He always wants you to flourish. Genesis 39:3, AMP “And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all that he did to flourish and succeed in his hand.”

  • Proverbs 11:25 AMP “The generous soul will be made rich [abundantly blessed, enrich, flourish], and he who waters will also be watered himself.”

  • He transfers the power to gain wealth so that His kingdom purposes can be fulfilled. In Deuteronomy 8:18, “He gives the power to get wealth.” Do not get hung up on the dollar-bill sign of success, but do understand that with success, wealth can come with it because that is how you flourish.

  • Proverbs 11:11 MSG When right-living people bless the city, it flourishes; evil talk turns it into a ghost town in no time.”

  • “Blessed to be a blessing” is always a principle we can use to become a bridge to share the gospel.

PRAYER POINTS:

  • Pray for revelation on the principle of sow-ing and reap-ing. What have you sown, what have you reap-ed? What should you sow to reap a flourished life?

  • Have you lived a flourished live?

    • If yes, then give thanks to Him and pray for God to show you how you should use the blessing He has given you.

    • If you think your life is yet to flourish, then pray for Holy Spirit to reveal the things in your life that hinders you from flourishing. Pray for God to bring you into alignment with His heart and His will.

  • Pray for wisdom and creativity on how you can use the blessing God gives you for His glory.

  • As we continue to see the Training Center being built, pray for wisdom, strategy, and creativity on how you can use the Training Center to expand His Kingdom and glorify Him.

Week 3: God’s Agenda is to Flourish You

  • Proverbs 29:2 KJV “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.”

  • The Passion Translation of this verse says, Everyone rejoices when the lovers of God flourish, but the people groan when the wicked rise to power.”

  • Flourish in Hebrew = to thrive, to come to one’s prime.

  • If you are talking about a flower — when fully blossomed — all the beauty of it is able to be seen.

  • Your life has a great potential and God wants you to bring you to the mature place in your life where people can see the beauty of everything that He puts in your life. He wants you to flourish in such a way that the world can see who it is and what it is that God has done in your life.

PRAYER POINTS:

  • Ask Holy Spirit to reveal the Father’s heart for your life.

  • Pray for Holy Spirit to set your heart in alignment with God’s heart.

  • How do others see you? Do they see the peace of God in your life? Or do they see you as always anxious and worried about everything? Do your words speak blessings or curses? Pray that your life can be a living testimony of how great God is to the people surrounding you.

  • Pray for godly leaders and representatives in your cities, states, and nation.

  • You are made for such a time as this! Ask Holy Spirit on what you can do to help turn your cities, state, and nation back to God.

  • Pray for God to use our Training Center to produce godly men and women that can showcase God’s goodness and glory to the world.

Week 4: God Puts You Here to Flourish

  • If you realize that God is with you, eventually you will see that whatever was meant for evil will work for good! (Genesis 50:20)

    • Do not equate bad things with the idea that God has forsaken you.

  • Maximize your time in captivity — maximize it! Whether in Egypt like Joseph or in Babylon like Jeremiah. There are many examples in the Bible.

  • Get to this place of work where you roll your sleeves up, get up, and you do something. God is in charge of your life, even in your Babylon experience!

  • Spiritual warfare is a battle to conquer your wavering spirit in times of trials and testings.

  • Matthew 6:33 KJV “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

    • Remember to be a witness and reap the harvest of souls. Plant seeds. No one will reap the harvest if one does not sow the seeds.

PRAYER POINTS:

  • Pray for God to show you that He is with you no matter what you are going through.

  • There are many things you can learn when you are in the midst of challenges. Pray for Holy Spirit to show you what God wants you to learn from those challenges. Pray for a new perspective.

  • Pray for perseverance, strength, and tenacity as you go through your challenges. Ask Holy Spirit to remind you that you are an overcomer and for you to not rely on your own strength but rely on the Lord.

  • Pray for yourself to be plugged into the community of believers (CARE Cell) so you can be fully planted and blossom.

  • Pray for courage and boldness, to share testimonies on how good God is to those surrounding you.

  • Pray for a harvest of souls to come as the Training Center is being built.
